Taste the Magic at Cheesecake Medic
A Delicious Delight You’ll Love
Our Story
After losing my brother to PTSD in the summer of 2017 I found the only thing that helped me cope was baking. We shared a love for Cheesecakes, and oddly enough the smell of cheesecakes baking or batter whisking instantly calms me. It hit me hard how much our first responders suffer in silence. Cheesecake Medic has allowed me to share my brothers story and help raise awareness to PTSD. My logo was designed to replicate the shape of the paramedic crest with his Oasis (badge) number in the center.
About Chris: My brother was a paramedic for approx. 20 years with the Region of Peel. We grew up right here in Durham Region. He was the oldest of the three of us and I feel I took my older brother for granted not even thinking he could have struggles, but more saw him as a strong individual who was always there when I needed him. He ended his life the night he celebrated his 40th birthday leaving behind my sister-in-law and young niece. His family and friends were everything to him, he would give you the shirt off his back if you needed it. He loved sports but especially hockey and loved cooking up amazing meals on the BBQ. You'll never walk alone. RIP Big Bro.
